le sigh… for soya milk

January 5, 2009 · 2 Comments

No, I’m not british… I just watched BBC for “Little Britain” and noticed that they call soy milk as “soya milk”… Not sure why. I digress, but to get to the point at hand, I was going to talk about Vitasoy Green Tea soy milk… I love the stuff. It’s really hard to find around where I live. I found it in Sacramento 2 years ago and then it disappeared. I found a Kikkoman brand of Green Tea Soy Milk and it tastes relatively the same, but I would still prefer Vitasoy. I don’t know why I get this different reaction from people who don’t drink soy. Weird.

It is so fustrating trying to find my favorite soymilks. One minute they are available and the next, it seems I have to hunt for them.

I experienced the same problems with a chocolate soy milk from Natura. I loved it and then could no longer find it.

A friend had recommend that I make my own soy milk, so I did some research and purchased a SoyQuick.

I never new that making soy milk at home was possible let alone so easy. On cold days I really enjoy heating my home made soymilk with a tea flavor of my choice.

This may be an easy solution so you could always make green tea or whatever flavored tea you happen to feel like. Oh and my favor thing about it all is that it actually only cost me $0.25 to make 1.5 quarts of milk.

I hope this may be helpful :)

Chai, you mean? Yeah, but I’m sure the green tea I use with the soy milk won’t produce the same results as the store bought brand. Green tea matcha from Jamba sorta kinda taste the same as te soy milk, but the one from Jamba, judging from my palate, is a bit sweet. I’ll try your solution out some time with a variety of green teas. maybe I might just find the holy grail of soy milk…
